AI, or Artificial Intelligence, refers to the simulation of human intelligence processes by computer systems. One form of AI that is particularly useful for image generation is Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). DALL-E was created by OpenAI and is capable of generating images from text descriptions. Basically it references over 12 Billion other data points from images across the web to understand what things are and how they look, from there it can create entirely new images based on it’s knowledge from looking at other photographs.

Recently, we had the opportunity to experiment with the software so decided to use it to generate some inspiration. The process was very simple, we used the prompt "Photos of vintage open-air photo booths for weddings" and let it do the rest.

The results were seriously impressive. DALL-E was able to generate a wide variety of unique and visually pleasing images, all of which fit the description provided. The images aren’t of functional photo booths but it sure did get the style and the aesthetic right.

Using DALL-E in this way was a lot of fun, and it was interesting to see the different interpretations of the prompt that the software came up with. It also gave us a lot of inspiration for future projects and ideas for wedding possible new photo booths. Maybe you’ll give it a try for your future projects?
